Kindergarten Families

Minnetonka Public Schools provides one of the best Kindergarten experiences in Minnesota. Our primary goal is to inspire in children to love learning through social and emotional teaching strategies. Our robust curriculum balances active, playful, hands-on learning with individual, small and large-group instruction designed to nurture early academic skills and promote social development.

Updated Group Plan for School Tours

Due to COVID restrictions, this school year, we are not doing our traditional school tours. Instead, we encourage you to do the following:

Early Childhood Screening

This screening is required by the State of Minnesota for all preschool-aged children (ages three to five), before entering public school. If you have already completed screening through Minnetonka, you are all set! If this screening was completed through another district, please upload your child’s Screening Summary when you submit the birth certificate and proof of address during registration.

If your child still needs to complete Early Childhood Screening, register here.

Explorers (Child Care)

High quality before and after school childcare programs for children ages three through fifth grade.

New Family Checklist

If you're new to Minnetonka Schools (resident family or approved open-enrolled family), you may be asking yourself what to do next. Below we've compiled a list of helpful resources for parents of students new to Minnetonka, whether kindergarten, elementary school, middle school or high school.
