Minnetonka High School Celebrates Veterans Day

MHS Student Government is excited and honored to welcome and celebrate the veterans in our community at our annual Veterans Day ceremony on Thursday, November 9. The ceremony will take place in the MHS West Gym at 7:55 a.m., followed by a small reception for the veterans and their guests. (Classes at MHS will follow this schedule on Nov 9; there is no Anchor Time.) All staff and students are encouraged to attend!

This year the theme will focus on lifting up our wounded warriors, whether their wounds are visible or not. We will recognize all veterans by name and branch of service, along with the Battlefield Honor of Service. The program will feature a guest keynote speaker, as well as several MHS student speakers and musicians.

If you are a veteran or have a veteran you would like to invite and honor, please do the following (even if you have done it in past years): 

1. Fill out this Google Form by Tuesday, November 7, to let us know which veterans will be in attendance: Veterans Day Contact Info
2. Complete an info slide to post in the MHS commons by Friday, November 3: Veterans Day Bio

Student Government will send an email to all veterans prior to the event with all the necessary details regarding the ceremony and reception.
